Babies

In lew of all the many pregnancy announcements from so many of my friends and their relatives I thought maybe I should update on our family. So... We are not expecting! We are, however, planning on becoming pregnant with baby #2 sometime next year. Babies are such a blessing and Michael and I are absolutely enjoying our time with Nathan as his first birthday is fast approaching. It seems like yesterday I was feeling scared to death to have to face my first night alone with him without a mom there just in case. Nathan now has eight teeth at 10 months. Four on top and four on the bottom. He is standing alone and walking along the furniture and is very good at getting around barricades. Sometimes he tries to take a shortcut through it instead and usually gets stuck, much to his dismay. His new trick is fake laughing. He loves to sit and go "Ah ha". He is so cute! He was a monkey for halloween. Pictures are coming soon.

Food Allergy

So most of you know that I have had an allergy to berries, citrus, and apples. I haven't eaten these things since I discovered the allergy about three years ago. I decided to start eating a few things here and there to see if I had "outgrown" it. I figured there was a good chance since I didn't have a problem with it until my teens. Anyways, I'm fine with strawberries in small portions and I just tried apples with no problems so far. I'm hesitant on the citrus because they were always the worst. So anyways, YEAH!!!! Allergies stink.

One of those weeks.

This has been one of those weeks. You know where you would rather stay in bed in the morning than get up and get to work on whatever it is your hoping will go away. Yeah, I'm still dealing with health insurance, car insurance, building a customer base for my Mary Kay business, being a mom, keeping a clean house as rent, organizing stuff from the move and all my junk from my pre-college days that my parents have given back to me. (Why did I keep all that junk?) AHHH so frustrating. Heather and Phil will appreciate the fact that we too are in the same boat as them as far as finding a job goes- Hoping one will fall into our lap but knowing a little bit of work is going to be required if we hope to ever move into a place of our own. So anyways, hope I haven't depressed anyone too much. Hope everyone is having a better week than me.

Round Two

Well, Michael and I got a calling at church. We are the nursery leaders! woohoo! This is our second round in the nursery. We actually really like this calling, especially since we have Nathan who wants to play and talk at the top of his lungs during church. So, now he has free reign to do so. There are only 3-5 kids in the nursery depending on the week, so nothing to hard.
We are doing well. Michael has started looking into the MPA program and UC Stanislaus. After many weeks of looking for jobs, we have realized that to get a job that makes more than he makes now and is in the field he went to school for (political science), he needs a masters. So, we have thought and prayed about it and decided this is the time to do it, while we have free rent and practically no bills. By the way, an MPA is a master in public administration if you didn't know.

Two Teeth!

Well Nathan has finally broken two teeth through. His front bottom two. Yeah!!! He is getting so big and looks more and more like a little boy and less like a baby each day. We love our little silly so much! He is our life, pride, and joy. He is still working on crawling. He he almost gets it and then gives up and gets mad. So a few more weeks.
